Unwind and relax in a truly peaceful setting. Get away from the TV and the phone. You can sit in the gazebo on the point and listen to the loons. Each cabin has a private feeling; when you sit on your front porch, you see the lake, not your neighbour.
It's a wonderful way to start the day. We'll deliver breakfast to your cabin - freshly baked! We include hot homemade muffins and croissants, fresh fruit and juice, egg or cheese, homemade jam, yogurt or muesli and coffee. Sitting on your porch, sipping coffee and watching the lake - it's our gift to you. We also offer a select dinner room service menu, if you don't want to worry about dinner one night.
Our cabins are fully equipped for housekeeping, but if you’d like a change, we have a select dinner menu for room service. We can also arrange dinner reservations at several local restaurants.
Stop by and check your email with our wireless connection. You can enjoy a glass of wine from our bar on the deck looking out on the lake, or come up after your dinner for dessert . You can borrow a book or sit by the fire and read one of our many wildlife magazines. Take a Scrabble game back to yourcabin, or stay and visit.
Every cabin comes with the use of canoes and kayaks. Never been in a canoe? Canoes are the traditional way of seeing Algonquin. We can offer some tips to get you started. Canoe Day Trips can also be arranged. Take out one of our kayaks and discover a whole new, closer view of the lake, marshes and wildlife. If you prefer, we do offer small motorboats for rent.
See our attractions for places to visit and things to do. Or take some time to sit on your screened porch and read that book you’ve been meaning to finish. Take advantage of the programs and trails at Algonquin Park, Ontario’s most famous park wilderness.
Our swimming area is sandy and the bottom slopes gently.
Go fishing for lake trout, smallmouth or largemouth bass or walleye(pickerel). If it’s been awhile, or if you’ve never tried, we have a Shimano rod & reel you can borrow. Tasty rock bass provide plenty of action for anglers of all ages. If you’d like a guide to show you some of the best spots, or tips on how to land a special fish, talk to Algonquin Expeditions. Getting away from it all can mean getting away from the harsh glare of city streetlights and out under a truly dark sky filled with thousands of stars. Hay Lake is a great place to bring that telescope, or even a pair of binoculars to get acquainted with the night sky.
